Vandaveer in Montgomery

Last night, R.B. and I went to a really cool show at The Sanctuary in the Cottage Hill neighborhood of Montgomery. The Sanctuary is literally an old church sanctuary that has been converted to an arts venue "aimed at increasing opportunities for community engagement."

Vandaveer, a DC-based folk duo, played for a group of about 50 people, and it was so great. They're on a "living room tour" across the country, and they performed for about two hours...just a guy, a girl, and a guitar - no sound system, no lights. It was really intimate and genuine, and I loved it.

If you like beautiful harmonies and intimate shows and you have the chance to catch Vandaveer on their tour, do it!

Here are a few pictures from the show...

Here's "Dig Down Deep" from the album of the same name. Hope you enjoy!
